As a Marriage and Family Therapist I have gained experience working with clients individually, and in groups on a number of issues. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in areas of trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, intimate partner violence, child abuse and neglect, relationships, parenting, and coping skills. I focus on assisting my clients develop a healthy sense of self so that they are better able to build supportive, healthy interpersonal relationships, utilize assertive communication and boundary setting skills. I strive to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgmental, culturally sensitive therapeutic experience for my clients.

Prior to obtaining my Master’s Degree I worked with severely emotionally disturbed children, and at-risk youth. Since obtaining my Degree I have provided counseling services at the Women’s Shelter Program of SLO, as well as continued to work with at-risk youth.

In my free time I enjoy hiking, travelling, reading, baking and cooking, and spending time with family and friends.

My Education

I completed my Master’s of Science degree in Counseling at Argosy University San Francisco Bay Area. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with an emphasis on early childhood development and education.
